Weak aircon is common in Singapore because the system works hard every day. But weak cooling does not always mean compressor replacement.

If the workshop says “compressor weak” without measurements, ask them to show the readings.
When compressor makes sense
Noisy compressor, poor pressure behaviour or confirmed internal failure can justify replacement.
