What this usually means
Direct-injection TSI engines commonly suffer from coil pack faults, spark plug wear, injector issues or intake carbon buildup. Start with fault codes and misfire counters before buying major engine parts.
What to ask the workshop before approving repair
- • Show the diagnostic fault codes.
- • Show photo/video proof of the failed part.
- • Give an itemised quote for parts and labour.
- • Explain why cheaper common fixes were ruled out.
