What this usually means
Small VW dry-clutch DSG cars can judder badly in traffic, but that does not automatically mean full gearbox replacement. Ask for clutch adaptation values, mechatronic faults and road-test data first.
What to ask the workshop before approving repair
- • Show the diagnostic fault codes.
- • Show photo/video proof of the failed part.
- • Give an itemised quote for parts and labour.
- • Explain why cheaper common fixes were ruled out.
